Athletics/Education Growing up on the Central Coast gave Thomas an Opportunity to enjoy different cities. He attended both Atascadero and Paso Robles high school, where he played basketball. Basketball was his first love, as for many young men and women it gave him an outlet to pour his heart and soul into. Athletics was the vehicle in which he learned the many blessings that come with hard work, dedication, perseverance, and team work. He would carry those traits with him to Cuesta College, where he would become captain of the basketball team. After the NBA did not draft him after his second season, he decided to attend Cal Poly to study Agricultural business and Viticulture. There he immediately connected with the wine industry and the wonderful people in it. This exposed him to a whole new side of the Paso Robles region in which he had grown up in, thus giving him a new appreciation for the area, which furthered his desire to be more involved in the local industry. Business While at Cal Poly in 1997 Thomas saw an opportunity to begin his first business. He took $200.00 a bucket and a squeegee and started a window washing company. Making the most of opportunity would become a habit over the next few years as Thomas began to become known for someone who gets things done and makes things happen. He would expand his business to become a full service cleaning company. He turned his one customer business into hundreds of customers including City of San Luis Obispo, Cal Poly and many other well known establishments. His can do attitude forged the way to become the industry leader on the central coast. He sold his company in January of 2007. A couple years prior to selling his company, he began his real estate career. In 2005, he and his partner Jason Linker purchased, developed and sold local lake properties. This is when Thomas knew real estate was the career for him. His commitment to excellence, hard work and dedication has and will continue to be pivotal in this industry. Family Thomas attributes much of his success throughout the years to his adopted family. In 1987 he was introduced to the Selby's, Tim and Steffini Selby and their two daughters Courtney and Tiffini. They immediately treated him as one of their own. They nurtured his heart and sole and provided him with much needed stability. That stability coupled with continued support and guidance has played a key role in arriving to where he is today. For Thomas, there is nothing more important than spending time with family. One of his favorite things to do is to work with his father in their 20 acre vineyard on the west side of Paso Robles. And at the end of the day, he can always look forward to Mom's amazing home cooking, and of course, a nice glass of wine.
